As Christian men, we must be what the Israelites are about to become: pilgrims, Exodus Men. This means detaching ourselves from things, from comforts and securities. It means clinging only to God and moving forward faithfully toward him. What are you clinging to? What do you need to let go of? Bring these things before the Lord today and beg him to grant you freedom in this very hour.
Enter into a dialogue with the Lord today regarding what it means that you are sacred, and set apart. Reflect with him on how he plans for you to live “set apart” and where you are failing at it now. Be specific, listen closely, and be willing and ready to CHANGE as the Lord requests. This will mark another solid stage along the road to freedom.

Ask God for the gift of faith and the gift of holy fear, which is one of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit (see Isaiah 11:1–2). Then, you will be daring enough to tell God what you really need, but you will also be resigned enough to submit to God’s holy will in all things.
